ACCA members in Armenia

‘ACCA helped me to reshape Internal Audit Function at the Central Bank of Armenia. Last two years were truly years of transformation inviting 4 new staff members to our team of 11 auditors who were on their way to ACCA membership. At the moment we have one member and one affiliate, two Professional level students and one Fundamental level student. Being FCCA, I consider the Qualification to be an important complementary to the University education. It gives practical insight into accountancy and finance as well as audit profession. ACCA qualification was instrumental in our recent accomplishment - Internal Audit Department of the Central Bank of Armenia has been assessed by the Internal Audit Department of De Nederlandsche Bank and found "GENERALLY CONFORM" with the requirements of the IIA Standards (rev. 2011) and the code of Ethics.” Moreover they consider us among the best Internal Audit Departments they have assessed.’ |

‘Having been a member of ACCA for seven years my ACCA qualification has given me many opportunities to meet excellent people and experience professional life in different countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, UK, and USA, as well as my own country Armenia. What I do wish, however, is that those who enter our profession will view their work not only for the personal gains that it can undoubtedly provide but to be continually mindful of what we should bring to society through our values of professionalism and ethics.’ |

‘In Armenia, ACCA is the best option which ensures fast carrier growth and a competitive advantage. It’s very important that it covers not only finance and accounting areas, but also improves the knowledge of different functions in the organization, such as HR management, IT aspects, etc. In many organizations in my region ACCA membership is the requirement for top management positions, especially for the position of CFO.’ |
