ACCA and Georgian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors sign Memorandum of Understanding
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and GFPAA (Georgian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), providing a framework for joint working between the two bodies.
Both organisations have been working closely in a number of areas previously and this MoU underpins these activities.
In particular, Natalya Vovchuk, Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic, Caucasus states, thanked GFPAA and President Revaz Dzadzamia for endorsement of ACCA initiatives in Georgia, and pointed out that GFPAA had already invested in development of professional education infrastructure in Georgia. GFPAA has been providing ACCA tuition in Georgia since 1999.
Roger Acton, Director – Europe, ACCA says: “We welcome the opportunity to reinforce our excellent working relationship with GFPAA. Our agreement covers areas of information exchange, undertaking activities of common interest, professional education development, fostering international cooperation.”
Revaz Dzadzamia, President of GFPAA, said: “The MoU gives us formalized basis for the continuing and ongoing cooperation with the ACCA. We believe that members of the GFPAA will benefit from further cooperation with ACCA – especially by having access to ACCA internal publications for members and students. We are especially glad to become Partner CPD Provider of ACCA in the future, as foreseen by MoU.”
